Sizzlers vs. KC Grillerz - 12/15/18

The Topeka Sizzlers once again used a balanced scoring attack with all eight players dressed scoring in double figures to improve their record to 3-0. Although Coach Thompson keeps preaching offense, the Sizzlers turned up their defensive effort and got close to 40 steals for the game.
Thompson states: It really caught the Grillerz off guard with our early ball pressure and rotation on the defensive end of the court. It became contagious and everyone got into the act. Final score was Topeka Sizzler - 192 and the KC Grillerz 87. Next home game is Saturday, December 22 at Washburn Rural (7pm).
Coach also noted the the guys are getting use to the "3D" rule that is only in the American Basketball Association (ABA) which helped generate more points.
Half-Court violation: the ABA is 7 seconds opposed to 8 seconds in the NBA to get across the half-court line. If an ABA team is not successful in getting over the half-court line within 7 seconds it results in a turnover which initiates the "3D" light. When the "3D" Light is on: 2 pt. shots = 3 pts. | 3 pt. shots = 4 pts. | a half-court shot = 5 pts.
