2018-19 SIZZLERS STAFF
  1. Calvin Thompson
    Calvin Thompson - will serve as Majority Owner and Head Coach. The former Kansas Jayhawk and Topeka Sizzler (CBA) is right back at home where his Professional playing career began after being released by four different NBA teams. The combination of Helping Out Other People (HOOP) and basketball is the driving force that keeps Thompson in the game today. After his playing days, he started a youth program back in his home town of Kansas City named HOOP Service. Although coaching at the Professional level now, he and the Sizzlers will become a mainstay within the community of Topeka and surrounding areas.

  2. Eric Stamps
    Eric is working on his 18th year as a basketball coach. Eric has spent the last 2 years coaching internationally with World Vision Basketball as Assistant Coach and Director of Basketball Operations. World Vision is only USA based team to play in China. Eric will bring years of coaching experience along with a strong background in player development to the Sizzlers's coaching staff. Eric has coached on all levels from a assistant on the Professional and Collegiate level, to six plus years as a High School head coach.

    will oversee our dance and cheer teams as well as help with game day events.

  5. Brianna Medina-Arnold
    The University of Kansas graduate received her Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training this past spring. Throughout school Bri gained knowledge in an array of sports including football, volleyball and soccer with the university teams, softball and baseball at Eudora High School, and gymnastics at Lawrence High School. Bri is excited to work with the Sizzlers and expand her knowledge of the sport. She lives in Topeka with her kitten Winston and guinea pig Remi.

  6. Joann Westbrook
    a Certified Athletic Trainer who works with both athletes and the general population to improve physical performance both on and off the court, evaluate and treat sports related injuries, and assist individuals through exercise focused on improving activities of daily living. Joann has secured a position as an integral part of the Sports Medicine team at the University of Kansas St. Francis Campus, where she enjoys both working with athletes in the Sports Medicine setting, as well as individuals in the Continued Care setting.

    currently work with the Boys & Girls Clubs of Topeka. She will help the day of events staff with sales, gate keeping, scoreboard and book keeping!

    Currently is a student at Washburn and is working at the Boys and Girls Club. She will assist the Sizzlers in game day events.
